TATOC proudly announces their Keynote speaker for Conference 2010 – “Working Together”
Manchester, UK (Jan. 24, 2010) — The Timeshare Association (TATOC) has announced that the keynote speaker for its 2010 conference entitled “Working Together” will be Stephen J. Cloobeck, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Resorts International. The event is being held at the Nottingham Belfry from Friday 26th March to Sunday 28th March, 2010.
This year’s conference is expected to surpass previous records for attendance and sponsorship. It is being touted as the ideal event for timeshare owners and industry professionals to network while enjoying superb speakers.
The chosen theme for this year’s conference is “Working Together”, because, as David Eastburn, Chairman of TATOC explains, “this past year has shown that now more than ever, all parts of the industry must work together to face the various challenges.”
The conference will give suppliers, developers, management companies and trustees the opportunity to discuss the challenges, both economic and legal, that the industry is facing, and share their views and experiences. A programme of presentations and break out sessions will also look at how the industry and consumer representatives can work together to face these challenges.
The Timeshare Association is a non-profit making limited company formed in 1989, using the name The Association for Timeshare Owners Committees (TATOC). It was established initially to act as a networking group for the appointed members of timeshare owners’ committees.
It is the only elected consumers association to represent the interests of timeshare owners in Europe. Its mission statement is “TATOC exists to safeguard and enhance the timeshare holiday experience for existing and prospective users and to be the voice of owners”.
TATOC is supported by many companies within the timeshare industry including Diamond Resorts International ®, Macdonalds Hotels, RCI, Interval International and Worldwide Timeshare Hypermarket. TATOC also handles consumer complaints and works closely with, but independently from, RDO to monitor and guide consumers with problems
