Robb & Stucky to Design Luxury Palmyra Condominium Interiors in Jamaica

FORT MYERS, FL (July 28, 2010) — Jamaica’s first luxury beachfront condo hotel and casino, The Palmyra Resort & Spa, has recently retained Robb & Stucky Interiors to handle a major portion of the design and creation of custom furnishings for 288 condominiums and a nearly 30,000 square foot signature spa and clubhouse.

The planned $2 billion high-end property is set against 16 oceanfront acres on the grounds of a former Jamaican plantation within the elite enclave of historic Rose Hall in Montego Bay. Development of three 12-story condominium buildings and amenities began in late 2005. The first tower (Sable Palm) is completed with the second tower (Silver Palm) finished in May of this year. Completion of the Sentry Palm Tower and a private village of 11 condominium villas linked by garden rooms and plazas are expected by the end of this year. Villas will range from $450,000 to $3.5 million.

According to developer Robert Trotta, “We believe The Palmyra is leading the island’s renaissance and will soon become a major destination resort. Because our customers are seasoned travelers and vacationers who expect the highest in quality surroundings, we knew Robb & Stucky Interiors would be the ideal firm to help create our desired level of luxury ambiance. Within just two weeks of being selected, they had completed design boards, unit renderings and special furnishings were already being manufactured. We are confident we chose the proper design partner to transform our dreams into reality.”

Commented Dan Lubner, President Resort Division for Robb & Stucky Interiors, www.RobbStucky.com “It has been an exciting opportunity for us to provide our unique design services to The Palmyra by transforming existing furnishings and creating a new line of custom manufactured interiors specifically for this property and its luxurious Clubhouse and residential penthouses. Our talented and experienced team of designers will also coordinate every facet of the design, manufacturing, shipping, and installation process.”

Robb & Stucky Senior Designer Nancy Woodhouse, IDS, (pictured above) is leading the design team for the project, along with April Campbell, ASID and the entire staff. Added Nancy, “The architecture and design of this property is incredibly beautiful, showing a major attention to detail in the exquisite quality of the flooring, staircases, surfaces, and various fixtures. I believe, upon completion, this will be the nicest property on the island. Part of our initial scope is to replace some upholstered items in their existing furnished units with fresh fabric styles and prints, ensuring a high upgrade quality. We will also provide model units for the large penthouses in the Silver and Sabal Palm Towers and for the beachfront and spa villas. Our team’s design scope includes new furnishings, window treatments, and area rugs. Our island-inspired color palette reflects Jamaica’s exotic culture and vibrant landscape to create warm, inviting luxury condominiums.”

At Palmyra, residents and guests will enjoy unparalleled indulgence in a quaint village setting, stretching along a half mile of pristine Caribbean ocean. Guests will experience island-style luxury living, privileged access to three internationally-acclaimed golf courses and five-star amenities, including Jamaica’s first branded ESPA destination spa, two pools overlooking the sea, and two on-site restaurants. Initial construction of the 23,000 square foot destination ESPA is underway. Nearing completion is the nearly 30,000 square foot Clubhouse. It will contain restaurants, conference facilities, offices, and guest registration. Robb & Stucky is expected to provide the interior design for this major facility.
