Trading Places International to Manage David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort & Spa

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (July 27, 2010) – Trading Places International has been awarded the management contract for David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort & Spa in Carson Valley, Nevada, effective yesterday. They will oversee all on-site operations, as well as association administration and financial matters.

“The welcome news that Trading Places had successfully transitioned the Hanalei Bay Resort from their preceding management company, Celebrity Resorts, was a determining factor in our selection” said Marlena Forst, president of the David Walley’s Resort Association. “Their résumé is exceptional, their references are impeccable, and most importantly, they support the same goals and direction as our board of directors. We are very pleased with our decision and are optimistic about the future of our resort.”

Trading Places was selected out of seven reputable management companies that submitted proposals to the David Walley’s Resort board of directors. As an independent third-party company, they will assist the resort in finding solutions to the economic challenges they’ve faced recently, creating a strong, bright future for the resort. “This is a brand new chapter for David Walley’s,” says Douglas Wilcox, Vice President of Resort Operations for Trading Places International. “We have been contracted to deliver on-site services for the enjoyment of the owners, to keep the resort functioning smoothly, and to pave the way for a successful year ahead.”

David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort & Spa is an oasis in Carson Valley, Nevada, set at the base of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains. The resort offers hot mineral springs/pools, a number of amenities, and comfortable, spacious accommodations. Located just 30 minutes from the world-class skiing and exciting casino hub of South Lake Tahoe, David Walley’s makes the perfect family vacation for year-round fun.

Trading Places International is a 37-year veteran of the travel and vacation industries. It is the only vertically-integrated, independent vacation ownership company providing full-service resort/association management, timeshare rentals and exchanges, plus travel and cruise agency services. It currently oversees more than 71,000 timeshare intervals at over 30 resort locations in Hawaii, Mexico, South America, and mainland United States. www.tradingplaces.com
