Carlsbad Inn Accelerates Renovation Process
CARSLBAD, CA (August 11, 2010) — The Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort, a landmark on the California Coast in Carlsbad, California (just north of San Diego) has completed its upgrade of 61 hotel rooms, corridors and outdoor furnishings.
Next on the schedule and in fact ahead of schedule are the changes to the Library, Lobby and common areas.
“When we saw the bright and contemporary look of the corridors and sleeping rooms we just couldn’t contain ourselves; after an enthusiastic discussion with Jim Watkins the original developer and owner of Carlsbad Inn, we decided to push ahead with work on The Library and Sunset Terrace Room,” said David Brown, Co-President of Carlsbad Inn’s management company, Grand Pacific Resort Management. “We are currently updating these areas with to give them a much lighter feeling through the furniture, carpet, paint and lighting. The veranda off the Sunset Terrace Room is being surrounded by glass so nothing interferes with the view of the ocean.”
The exterior of the building has been changed to a light moss hue, trimmed in white, giving the property a beautiful new look.
On the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, the property created a Premier Level on the top (third) floor. Each of the spacious rooms has either a King or two Queen Signature beds, a sitting area, and is fully upgraded with luxury fixtures. The bathroom is remarkable with a marble walk-in shower and vanity. Guest rooms include plantation shutters, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee brewer, iHome, flat screen TV, DVD player and plush robes. Wi-Fi service and parking are included.
Even the more standard rooms, such as the Kitchenette Guest Room and Double Guest Room makes guests feel right at home with a signature King Bed, sitting area and workable desk. Guest rooms include plantation shutters, small refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee brewer, iHome, flat screen TV and DVD player. Wi-Fi service and free parking are included.
