REMEMBER: For the majority of timeshare reps attending a sales seminar, reading this Morning Meeting section, sitting in on those daily sales/meetings or reading one of many sales/closers books or a sales training manual is akin to most people browsing a Wikipedia entry on Einstein’s E=mc2 and then going out and discussing such topics as ‘matter’ and ‘energy’ in a proficient manner.
Knowledge is fundamental to sales success and wherever that can be acquired is a good thing. But sales is also like a contact sport and that information has to be backed up with action supported by a professional non-arrogant sales attitude and demeanor, personal drive, ambition and fortitude, etc.
Those ‘actions’, however, don’t normally come naturally for most reps unless and until it becomes part of their overall behavior (a way of life). It is that transformation, along with as much knowledge as can be absorbed, that will keep the savvy TS Pro laughing all the way to the bank.
