REMEMBER: The proposition that “nothing happens in any business until someone sells something” merits further thought, especially in this economy, because in our business, at the end of the day it is, has been and will forever be all about ‘selling’ and ‘closing’ deals.
And yet, too often many TS reps are just teaching, telling and/or preaching to their prospects and really never take the time to learn and listen to them in order to provide each prospect the opportunity to tell the rep ‘how-to-sell-me’!
In every presentation there is a time to simply shut up and listen to each prospect, allow them to have a ‘little’ control and spew out their feelings regarding their vacationing lifestyle, etc. The savvy TS Pro who gives them the ‘floor’ just enough to put it all out there and then uses that information in a constructive way will be laughing all the way to the bank!
