REMEMBER: All sales professionals know that it takes the same amount of knowledge, time, effort, energy and expertise to sell a $1,000 Widget as it does a $5,000 one. That is why the real sales pros always prefer selling the ‘higher-ticket’ products/services because by doing so, in the same amount of time, their earnings are much higher than most other sales reps.

The same principle applies to the fact that it takes about the same amount of time and energy to be a mediocre sales reps as it does to be at the top of the game. Whichever path a rep chooses, like the Widget example, the time is going to pass anyway, so why not strive to be on top and soar with the eagles?

If you are already there then congratulations and keep up the outstanding performance! If you’re not there yet then the fastest way to start that process is to first make the decision here and now that is the path you’re taking and let nothing (including yourself) stop you from getting there. When you have arrived, and you will, you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank!
