REMEMBER: It is worth repeating that in our industry if any rep wants to be on top of their game then they need to understand that first and foremost they are in the ‘travel/vacationing’ business as opposed, for good cause, to just being in the timeshare industry.
Ponder for a moment the ‘stats’ and what many sales guests are interested in when it comes to the subject of travel and vacationing.
As of today if anyone googles the following search terms the results they’ll get are: “Travel” (5.1 Billion results); “Resorts” (364 Million results); “Hotels” (405 Million results); “Vacations (36 Million results); “Cruises” 26.6 Million results); “Motels” (16.7 Million results); and so on.
Now compare that to “Timeshare” coming in at 4.2 (Million results) or “timesharing” (1.8 Million results) and “timeshare vacations” (at 761,000 Million results)!
It is indeed the savvy TS Pro who invests the time required to learn as much as possible and who thoroughly understands the worldwide travel industry and its appeal to ‘consumers’ (aka: prospects). The Pro who applies that aspect of vacationing to their sales presentation will be laughing all the way to the bank!
