REMEMBER: If most sales reps in the ‘biz’ are asked by someone new they meet what they do for a living the likely response would be they are in ‘timesharing’, and although that is true, it is only a fraction of what they actually ‘sell’ because at the end of the day TS reps are all in the global travel, accommodations and vacationing business.
To be really successful, especially in this era, TS reps need to become very familiar with all aspects of the travel industry so that their sales guests understand they are not just dealing with someone selling TS’s but instead realize they are dealing with an expert travel professional.
It is that very message that needs to be conveyed to each prospect and the few savvy TS Pros who ‘get-it’ and do so will be the ones, for many years to come, who’ll continue laughing all the way to the bank.
