Start Over
Get your day off to the right start with your own MORNING MEETING. A Sales Tip of the Day and a daily blast of music for your enjoyment! Published Monday thru Friday.
REMEMBER: Any sales rep who has been in this business for any length of time has surely witnessed the ‘green-pea’ come on board and with barely an hour or two of training (at best), write a gazillion deals (okay, 5-10) in a row.
Then after the second or third deal in a row as everyone oohs and ahs about her/his performance, often a sales manager praises the rep as the industry’s newest found rising ’star’ destined for greatness, commissions galore… and (e.g.) if ‘he/she’ can do it what’s your problem?
Of course what is really happening with this ‘green-pea’ is that he/she has hit a string of highly qualified prospects who are doing well in all aspects of their lives, want to (or do) travel, love the idea of vacationing, etc. and with the new kid on the block not knowing anything about ‘timesharing’ she/he keeps the presentation to the bare bones minimum (basics) and doesn’t ‘over-sell’ or come off as the dreaded all knowing timeshare Ph.D guru type.
Even the best Pros in our business will ‘blank’ from time to time for a host of reasons. When this happens it isn’t a bad idea to get back to the very basic presentation, not ‘chat’ too much and as a child in school do the old ’show and tell’ approach to the presentation. This tactic alone will often break the ‘blanking-cycle’ and the savvy TS Pro will again be laughing all the way to the bank!
