REMEMBER: Every day sales centers fill up with prospects who’ve attended one or more TS presentations and because they have there is a damn good chance that they met ‘Slick Willie’, aka: the timeshare schlep from hell who puked out so much heat (BS) the sales guest still reeks of the smell!
That is why it is very important to tell each prospect that research suggests 50% of all sales guests have attended one or more presentations in the past 10 years. Then outright ask the prospect how many TS plans, up until ‘today’, had they previewed.
Regardless of their answer, the rep then needs to inform the sales guest, in a lightly humorous manner, that despite what they may have been told or even heard at other presentations or from family, friends, etc., being a timeshare owner is not the cure for the bubonic plague and if the prospects are thinking they’ll be hearing about any type of ‘cure-all’ vacation plan they came to the wrong presentation.
Once they’ve been told that (in the rep’s own words) they’ll realize they are dealing with a straight shooter and in TS sales, bar none, it is indeed the savvy TS Pro who comes across in that forthright manner at all times who’ll laugh all the way to the bank.
