REMEMBER: You can bet your last dollar that at some point in their lives every sales guest had a lifestyle ‘dream’ that they envisioned would some day come true. But when they came to that proverbial fork in the road they took the other path and those aspirations of becoming an (e.g.) artist and living in Paris are all but a very faint memory.
There is a plethora of unfulfilled ‘dreams’ out there, ranging from a lifestyle in the bayous of Louisiana to Machu Pichu in the Andes. And one of the most exciting aspects of our industry is that timeshare reps ’sell’ a product, service and system whereby timeshare owners can at least taste and live many of those experiences.
That ‘dream’ is inside ‘em all and even though a prospect’s life in (e.g.) Fresno, California is their little oyster and all is well, if the timeshare rep digs deep enough they’re likely discover that at one time the sales guest wanted to sail the seven seas (perpetually).
When the ‘dream’ is discovered it is not something the timeshare rep needs to dwell on, but it sure is a handy little tool when talking about travel (exchange) opportunities. And when doing so the savvy Timeshare Pro will select a destination and resort lifestyle that best suits the prospect’s youthful visions and put ‘em in the picture. By doing so, each sales guest will get to live the dream and the rep will laugh all the way to the bank.
