REMEMBER: Believe it or not, all these years later ‘pitching’ TS ownership as a hedge against inflation is still a very good idea if you also keep in mind that we are in the global travel and tourism business and ‘owners’ are subject to inflation factors worldwide.
Take parts of Asia for example. Not too many years back the ‘average’ building price per square foot in Tokyo (believe it or not) was running nearly $1,000,000 (USD). So you can imagine what the ‘nightly’ hotel rate was as opposed to (e.g.) a couple who exchanged their two weeks in Orlando for two weeks in Tokyo or Kyoto, or maybe Shanghai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taiwan and so forth.
The point being that ‘global-inflation’ often works in the favor of TS owners, and when sales guests indicate their desire to travel internationally it is never a bad idea for the rep to briefly chat about international inflation rates averaging in the ‘double-digits’. By bringing that little reality to the prospect’s ‘travel-dreams’ the savvy TS Pro will laugh all the way to the bank
