REMEMBER: It doesn’t take long to notice that on main stream television stations 100’s of millions of viewers are inundated with fantasy and/or surreal type programming (24/7/365), and that includes all the advertisements viewers are exposed to (and freely watch) as well.

What is important for the timeshare rep to understand is that along with whatever entertainment factors that may be involved, millions of these viewers are escaping their otherwise ‘normal’, ‘common’ and/or ‘ordinary’ (aka: mundane) lifestyles and fleeing, albeit for only hours at a time, to “Fantasy Island”…

That is so telling because there are other choices such as The History Channel, Discovery, PBS, National Geographic, C-Span and a host of other informative programs. But you’ll likely never find those listed on TV Guide’s “Top 50 TV Shows Of All Time”.

That said, visitors to timeshare sales centers are likely looking for a way to ‘escape’ and what our industry provides those folks is not something that is ‘dreamlike’ but something they can actually experience, enjoy, touch, feel and ‘live’ for the rest of their time.

Conveying that message throughout the presentation and how that vacation lifestyle fits the prospect’s wants and desires is a sure fire way to make more sales, and the savvy TS Pros who do so will laugh all the way to the bank.
