ICE
Get your day off to the right start with your own MORNING MEETING. A Timeshare Sales Tip of the Day and a daily blast of music for your enjoyment! Published Monday thru Friday.
REMEMBER: At some point everyone has heard one of those nifty feel-good sales slogans about the rep being so good that she/he could sell frozen H20 to an indigenous person living in an area with an abundance of that free substance lying about. And when such a proclamation is used during a sales meeting, the ‘gang’ often oohs and ahs in amazement.
Then there are other memorable expressions used in timeshare sales circles like “A sale is made every time…” or “Either you sell them or they sell you…” etc. The problem with all these expressions (and more) is that they are as meaningless, useless, mindless and accomplish about as much as, well, trying to sell ice to people living in the Arctic!
To be successful selling timeshares the rep needs to take their profession as serious as any other profession and the path to accomplishing this is to study (read), practice, adjust, modify, evaluate (each and every presentation), study (read) more, practice more, and constantly fine tune their sales presentation and closing techniques.
Doing so on an ongoing basis will, in short order, separate the ‘one-trick-pony’ 18% sales/closers from the money makers in the ‘biz’ who are always ‘writing’ (selling/closing) in excess of 25% (net).
In our business selling what is often termed a ‘high-ticket’ deal and netting (e.g.) an 18% YTD CR may pay the bills and provide a decent lifestyle for the rep, but if they are going to put in the time and go through all the motions anyway then would it not be wise for them to earn 25-35-40% or more?
And speaking of doing just that, and because timeshare reps are also in a ‘fun’ business, there is nothing more ‘fun’ than to walk out on payday with a check two or three times larger than ‘others’. The ones who do so, paycheck after paycheck, and working the same hours/time/days as their peers, are having more ‘fun’ as they laugh all the way to the bank.
