Pot
Get your day off to the right start with your own MORNING MEETING. A Timeshare Sales Tip of the Day and a daily blast of music for your enjoyment! Published Monday thru Friday.
REMEMBER: What you say is just as important as how you say it. Often just a few well chosen words on a given subject and repeated frequently can make an audience (sales guest) almost behave as if you gave ‘em– and they consumed– some ‘comfort-food’.
In 1928 the Republican Party, wanting to have Hebert Hoover to be the next President of the USA, published and distributed circulars, etc. claiming that if Hoover was elected there would be “a chicken in every pot and a car in every garage.”
The voters bought it, Hoover was elected and within his first year the rest of his Presidency was ‘toast’ as the nation went into the Great Depression and instead of “a chicken in every pot” millions would be in food lines, and worse, for years to come.
But, the moral to that story for the wise timeshare rep (topics often discussed here in MM) is to:
1. Strike while the iron is hot, and ‘today’, from a sales perspective, is as ‘hot’ as it is going to get!
2. Plan for tomorrow but don’t overly worry about those ‘tomorrows’ as long as you are making a sale ‘today’!
3. Like the ‘chicken in every pot’ catchphrase, find out what your sales guest wants and needs and then zoom in and focus on those desires. Put ‘em in the picture, and keep ‘em there!
Naturally there is a lot of material to cover during the timeshare sales presentation but there are also those ‘hot-buttons’ (e.g.) “And you’ll enjoy these amenities and more worldwide…” whereby your prospect will see and actually believe that “chicken in every pot” dream. And when that happens the savvy Timeshare Pro will laugh all the way to the bank.
