REMEMBER: Going back generations timeshare reps have been telling sales guests the old “If you’re going to spend the money anyway (on motels/hotels) then…” Although that approach may be ‘enlightening’ to the prospect there is another way to say the same thing that works much better.
“Art and Mary, most of us like don’t want to risk money on something that we’ve never tried before, which I is why I personally think car dealers are adamant that we all take that ‘test-drive’. In our business, however, there is nothing to ‘test-drive’ because people like yourself already vacation all the time anyway. It may sometimes be for just a couple nights here or a week there, but everyone already knows about traveling and vacationing. Our process simply upgrades millions of vacationers into superior accommodations at market values, and by vacationing this way owners are getting more bang for their hard earned money.”
That approach (use your own words/examples of course) is simply another way of saying to the sales guest that ‘they’ are not alone (“millions”), that this is nothing new (“never tried before”) and there is no risk in vacationing anyway, etc. And when each sales guest fully understands, acknowledges and accepts that reality the savvy TS Pro will laugh all the way to the bank.
