REMEMBER: Without question sales guests like to and should be entertained during the presentation by an enthusiastic timeshare rep who provides an informative and upbeat sales presentation.
Those components are important but during the process another equally important (if not more so) ‘characteristic’ is for the rep to demonstrate she/he is basically telling it like it is, and is not just a happy-go-lucky jaw-flapping ‘rep’. Because at the end of the day (presentation), when the time comes for the prospect to put-up or shut-up they will always prefer to buy from a person they believe is also being straightforward with them.
There is no shortage of flamboyant timeshare reps, usually closers, prancing around the sales centers openly sharing their luster with other reps (and sales guests) and although these good folks write deals they actually leave more money on the table or lose more deals than they are aware because their ‘charm’ alone is not the ‘stuff’ that sells.
And that is especially true selling ‘high-ticket’ timeshare plans!
In ‘the biz’, unlike the (e.g.) yacht sales rep whose prospects already think they want to own, the timeshare rep must first build (and/or create) that desire. To accomplish that, in part, it is the savvy Timeshare Pro who also demonstrates they are being straightforward and trustworthy who will write more (and larger) deals and laugh all the way to the bank.
