REMEMBER: If you’ve ever witnessed a person standing on a street corner talking or shouting out to passers-by there is a chance that some walking past may think the person is on drugs, homeless, preaching ‘the word’ or just plain crazy. But what is also happening is that person is reaffirming (if only to themselves) some basic personal core beliefs.
Talking to ‘others’ on the street (who aren’t listening) or just sitting at the doorstep of a city building and mumbling to oneself could (and does) get some people locked up. But for timeshare reps wanting to increase their sales performance it is never a bad idea to have a little positive chat with oneself on a frequent basis.
At the end of the day, and equally as important as attending sales training classes, going to seminars or reading MM’s sessions, sales and motivational books, etc., every timeshare rep is the one ultimately responsible for creating a healthy mental attitude. Having those personal chats and verbally reaffirming the positives in the rep’s life (family, work and play, etc.) is a sure fire way to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative thoughts.
Even the simplest daily positive affirmation proclaiming that (e.g.) ‘Today I’m writing the highest volume in the room…’ will, over time, mold a more productive ‘I can do’ mental attitude. And as that transformation takes root the savvy Timeshare Pro will laugh all the way to the bank.
