    Tremblay makes a good point about making sure that you can afford the maintenance dues before deciding to buy a timeshare. I’ve spoken with plenty of people who forgot to factor in these quarterly fees that you can never pay off.

    For those considering buying a timeshare, I always recommend renting a timeshare instead. It really is the best of both worlds. You get to enjoy the spaciousness of a timeshare with all of its amenities – kitchen, barbeque, pool, large unit, inexpensive nightly rate, AND you have no further commitment to the property’s upkeep.
