REMEMBER: This 300th posting of Morning Meeting will be the Grand Finale and although there is still much more to cover and always more to learn, herein is a wealth of information that if properly applied will assist any serious timeshare rep to climb to the top of their ‘A’ game and laugh all the way to the bank.
Just keep in mind that as long as a timeshare developer is willing to put cold hard cash on the table to provide a rep with a qualified prospect, those reps have an obligation to the developer and more importantly to themselves to ‘work’ each prospect with every ounce of their talent, energy and expertise!
The timeshare ‘biz’, like most sales driven entities, has the ranks filled (about 80%) by sales reps who are somewhat clueless about what it takes to be successful in this business, who are just sort of ‘hanging’ out (‘marking time’) and allowing money earning (sales/closing) opportunities to pass them by daily!
Timeshare reps also truly work (it is more like ‘play’) in a field where the earning potential of $70-100K per year is pretty much ‘average’ and the really good reps who apply themselves (and their talents) Carpe Diem and take home a lot more bacon than that!
And if a timeshare rep is new to the ‘biz’, know this, too. Albeit few in number, timeshare reps have gone on to be worth millions of dollars– including a former cab driver who started off part time as an OPC and then worked his way up the food chain over the years and ultimately became a very successful and wealthy developer!
And yes, the ‘biz’ and ‘market’ are changing rapidly but there is still plenty of time and opportunity to soar with the eagles. As long as a rep keeps their ’social’ life in order, saves and invests their money, etc. they’ll do just fine!
The decision to be a Master Sales Closer in this business is of course always up to each rep but in most cases the developer (and MM) has given their reps the most ‘tools’ possible and/or necessary to be successful. By acknowledging that reality and then doing something with it a rep will join the ranks of other savvy Timeshare Pros and laugh all the way to the bank!
