NUEVO VALLARTA, MX (August 24, 2011) — Enjoying a good drink on vacation just got more exciting with the announcement that Grupo Vidanta is rolling out a menu of at least thirty custom cocktails created by renowned Mixologists especially for their Vida Vacations resorts. Now travelers can experience firsthand the art of mixing prime liquor brands with fresh fruit pulp or freshly juiced vegetables, instead of using concentrated or canned products.
Mixologists produce their own syrup, mixed with ingredients such as hibiscus flower, ginger and many more to give them a special and unique savor to their creative cocktails. Award-winning mixologists Elad Zvi and Gabriel Orta from Bar-Lab began the process by traveling to Grupo Vidanta’s Nuevo Vallarta resort to design the first round of cocktails as well as train the staff on how to create these carefully crafted concoctions. Previous cocktail mixers at the resorts are now appointed as official “bar chefs” to convey the seriousness of the craft.
Bar-Lab is famed around the world for improving business for bars, lounges, restaurants and hotels such as the W South Beach. Gourmet cocktails nicely compliment the experience of travelers who have come to expect nothing but the best from Grupo Vidanta resorts, which include well-known brands such as Grand Luxxe, The Grand Bliss, The Grand Mayan and Mayan Palace.
“Grupo Vidanta is always at the edge of creativity and constantly searching for ways that bring more value to our guests,” says Eric DuBaele, Director of Hotel Operations of Grupo Vidanta. “We are very pleased to announce that our guests will now be able to indulge in some exciting new drinks they can only find at our resorts. Grupo Vidanta restaurants and chefs are internationally renowned, and it’s only fitting that they are complimented by beverages that are crafted with the same attention to detail.”
Mixology is a rising profession that takes bartending to the next level, making it a gourmet craft, combining unique ingredient to come up with incredible alcoholic concoctions. The company expects guests to be delighted by the fun and fantastic cocktails, adding another element to the overall experience of their stay.
Initially unveiling at resorts in Riviera Maya, Nuevo Vallarta and Acapulco, the luxury resort developer plans to eventually expand the unique beverages to all locations.
Some of the exciting delicious cocktails that make Grupo Vidanta restaurants, bars and lounges a must-see include new drinks such as “Spice of Love,” “Melon Breeze,” “Jacky Rose,” “Forest Paloma” and “Passionista.” Fresh tropical fruits such as passion fruit, pineapples, raspberries, strawberries, melons, tamarind, limes and others are used with fantastic results that titillate taste buds. Exotic high-end ingredients such as hibiscus, jalapeños, ginger, crème de cassis, campari, rosemary, Tajin seasoning makes these drinks truly one of a kind and a perfect complement to a luxury vacation.
