WASHINGTON, DC (February 16, 2012) –– The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and Mexico’s National Trust for Tourism Promotion (FONATUR) has announced the alignment of their organizations in the presentation of the 2012 ARDA World Convention in Las Vegas.
“We’re delighted to welcome FONATUR as our Global Development Sponsor for the 2012 ARDA Convention, the industry’s largest gathering of shared vacation ownership professionals,” said Howard Nusbaum, president and CEO of ARDA. “With our international development focus at this year’s ARDA Convention, this is the ideal opportunity to provide information and access to the growing Mexico market,” continued Nusbaum.
FONATUR will present educational programming on resort development in Mexico and provide a product display in the Convention’s exposition center.
FONATUR celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2004. In that short time, it has managed to mastermind the infrastructure behind modern tourism in Mexico by developing prime coastal real estate and encouraging foreign investment in its projects. During its history, FONATUR has developed five of Mexico’s top beach resort areas–Cancun, Ixtapa, Los Cabos, Loreto, and the Bays of Huatulco–ushering in a new era for Mexican tourism.
The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) is the Washington D.C.-based professional association representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries.
