Eugene, OR (Feb. 1, 2012) — Ragatz Associates has announced the finalized agenda for their 12th Annual Ragatz Fractional & Resort Real Estate Conference, to be held March 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch in Arizona. The primary change from previous years is that this year’s conference will address all forms of resort real estate and not exclusively fractionals.
Speakers will describe trends in the primary resort real estate attractors, including skiing, golf and spa. They will also discuss trends in the primary product types of resort hotels, resort timeshare, fractionals, whole-ownership vacation homes, and master-planned resort real estate communities.
Recognizing that consumer decision-making patterns are dramatically changing, several market researchers/trend analysts will share their recent findings and emphasize how they relate to product design and the sales and marketing process.
Adds Richard Ragatz, Ph.D. of Ragatz Associates, “Our Conference will continue to be the primary gathering of the fractional interest industry on a global basis, but a changing economy has dictated that this industry can no longer afford to act in isolation from other segments of the overall resort real estate market, and vice versa. This year’s Conference represents the first coming together of such a diverse group of speakers in the industry, each with tremendous expertise in their own field. The educational content of these sessions is applicable to the entire resort real estate industry.”
Speakers at the Ragatz Conference represent a “who’s who” in the resort real estate industry. They include the President of the National Ski Areas Association, the President of Miraval Resorts and Spas, Jim Chaffin from Chaffin Light, Smith Travel Research, Hyatt Residential Group, Inspirato, Abercrombie & Kent, etc.
In addition to the educational and networking opportunities, this year’s Conference will feature a pre-conference golf tournament on March 11, an “over-the-water” pitching contest, Native American entertainment, gondola rides, and a poolside Cocktail Reception. There will also be a repeat of last year’s successful Meet and Greet session, once again moderated by Howard Nusbaum of ARDA and Rob Webb of Baker Hostetler. This year’s charity-of-choice is Christel House (international schools for children with underprivileged backgrounds).
Early Bird rates of $795 (with special discounts for groups of two or more) are available until February 3. Thereafter, registration fees are $895 (with group discounts available).
