San Diego, CA (August 1, 2012) — Travel To Go proudly sponsored the inaugural Bare Bones Veteran Run held June 28, 2012 in Tehachapi, CA in support of the Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP).
The Bare Bones Veteran Run, a scenic 200 mile motorcycle ride, began with a pre-run celebration that included live music, a poker run, a BBQ dinner and raffles. The event raised $3,000 to impact Wounded Warrior sponsored-programs such as the Combat Stress Recovery Program, Project Odyssey, Restore Warriors, The Soldier Ride, WWP Packs, Transition Training Academy, and Warriors to Work.
According to Michael G. Minton, Senior Master Sergeant, USAF, “The success of the event was in large part due to your (Travel To Go’s) support. I am convinced that, without your contributions, the event would have failed. The bottom line is that we simply could not have done it without your support. On behalf of the proud men and women of the United States Armed Forces, I thank you.”
Travel To Go is an ardent supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. The company recently sponsored the “Right to Ride Free Poker Run” held June 2, 2012 at The Trap, Lancaster, CA that also provided funding for various Wounded Warrior Projects. Travel To Go’s Executive V.P. of Business Management, Tommy MiIddaugh’s son serves in the U.S. Army and according to Middaugh, “Our support of charitable causes such as this very important to the company.”
