Parsippany, N.J. (November 15, 2012) — RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange, has recently implemented two new initiatives that will streamline the deposit and exchange process for affiliates, while making the exchange process easier for members. The initiatives include integration of property management systems for a more automated data sharing process and a new outlet for owners to pay their maintenance fees for their affiliated resorts.
“These two projects are important steps in a larger journey to provide support to affiliates by creating simplified processes,” said Gordon Gurnik, president, RCI. “We make it a priority to create an engaging and efficient exchange process for members and affiliates, and these two initiatives were opportunities for us to reduce work for affiliated resort staff, while making the exchange process easier for everyone.”
The first initiative creates an easy way for RCI® subscribing members to pay their maintenance fees at the resorts where they own. Before a deposit can be verified in RCI’s exchange system, members must pay their maintenance fees. Now, affiliates have the option of adding a link to their maintenance fee website directly on the RCI deposit verification site. This will streamline the deposit and verification process for both members and affiliates and help facilitate payment of maintenance fees.
“This project creates a one-stop shopping experience by getting owners where they need to go with just a few clicks,” continued Gurnik. “This makes the vacation ownership and exchange process convenient for everyone, so they can get back to the fun part – planning their next amazing vacation.” “Our owners’ portal has proven to be helpful in meeting our owners where they are—and that is offline as well as online,” said Drew Langway, senior vice president of corporate operations for SPM Resorts. “Adding this to RCI’s website will help create a seamless online user experience. Owners can now pay online and deposit online all at the same time. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.”
The second initiative facilitates the sharing and movement of data between the affiliated resort and RCI. When affiliates need data on inbounds and deposits, it is now possible to have the data feed directly into their own property management systems, instead of entering the data manually. This will reduce the hours spent entering this data, as well as facilitate more accurate reporting.
“This initiative helps create a seamless connection between affiliated resorts’ property management systems and RCI’s exchange system, which helps reduce work for affiliates while giving members an even simpler and easier way to make the most of their vacation ownership and exchange options,” Gurnik continued.
