Sanibel Island, FL – June 13, 2013 – Sundial Beach Resort & Spa (www.sundialresort.com), the iconic condominium resort on Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida, has announced that its three bars and restaurants are now open to the public for the first time in five years. The opening follows an extensive $5 million renovation to all the public spaces in the hotel.
In celebration of the openings, the resort is launching “Sanibel Summerfest”, a summer-long promotions program, and is introducing two Happy Hours and weekend live entertainment, activities long popular with Sanibel and Captiva residents and visitors.
The island’s legendary musician-songwriter Danny Morgan and his band will kick off “Sanibel Summerfest,” by performing at two of Sundial’s restaurants. Morgan and band members Andrea Prather and John McLane will play to expected crowds every Friday from 1-4 p.m. at the poolside Turtles Café & Patio, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and featuring other island performers on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
The Danny Morgan Band will also perform Friday evenings from 6-9 p.m at the Sea Breeze Café, overlooking the pool and the Gulf of Mexico. The Sea Breeze Café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. offering indoor and outdoor dining with the best water views on the Island. Breakfast is served from 7-11 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. The adjacent Waterview fine dining room also serves dinner from 5 to 10 pm daily.
Added Sundial’s Food & Beverage Manger Paul Cuppy, “We are also announcing two fun-filled Happy Hours every day with reduced beverage prices at Turtles from 3-5 p.m. and at the Sea Breeze Café from 5-7 p.m.”
In conjunction with the ‘Sanibel Summerfest’ celebration, the resort is inviting guests to enter a contest to win a complimentary weekend for two. The winner will enjoy a two-bedroom condominium and their choice of a dinner in Waterview or the Sea Breeze Café, plus breakfast each morning. The drawing will be held on Labor Day, September 2, 2013. Attendance at the drawing is not required.”
“We look forward to restoring Sundial as the place for fine food and entertainment on Sanibel Island,” said Bob Kramm, General Manager. “Our entire staff is dedicated to this goal.”
