MANCHESTER, U.K. (October 21, 2014) — The Timeshare Association (Timeshare Owners and Committees), TATOC, has announced that Diamond Resorts International’s White Sands Beach Club, Menorca, has achieved TATOC Resort Accreditation.
Designed and furnished in typical Menorcan style, the resort’s 77 fully equipped timeshare apartments surround a swimming pool, which gives way onto a secluded sandy beach. Most have balconies or garden terraces with sea views.
The resort is open from early February to late November and enjoys high occupancy levels with fixed-week owners returning on a regular basis. The resort is also popular with Diamond Resort points and fractional members, renters and exchange guests.
White Sands Beach Club offers relaxation and a sense of safety, which is appreciated by guests of all ages who enjoy its close proximity to the beach and the ability to tour the island.
The TATOC Resort Accreditation programme was launched in 2008 as independent recognition for resorts that meet the highest standards of holiday experience for guests and owners alike.
Accreditation acknowledges resorts that are truly customer-driven and are willing to commit to all the requirements of the association’s codes of conduct and ethics.
The award demonstrates an openness and willingness to involve owners in formulating the fundamental characteristics and philosophy of the resort – as well as ensuring facilities and services are of the highest quality.
Resorts who apply for TATOC Accreditation undergo an inclusive on-site inspection and audit. The process is robust and comprehensive as the association believes it is essential the award is seen as hard earned and meaningful.
The TATOC accreditation flag flying from the masthead gives prospective purchasers, as well as exchange visitors and guests, an assurance that, judged from a consumer standpoint, the holiday experience provided is one of real value.
The TATOC accreditation team considers aspects such as:
- The standard of accommodation and leisure facilities;
- The marketing that brought a guest or owner to the resort complex;
- The health, fire and safety standards at the resort;
- The sales practices at the resort; and
- The customer service levels provided by the resort.
Harry Taylor, TATOC’s executive chairman commented: “This was my first visit to Menorca and I was particularly impressed with the resort’s employees who are extremely professional, well trained and work together as a team. It is this that has helped them achieve TATOC Resort Accreditation. Happy and trained staff is a benefit to the guest.”
