Sept. 1, 2015 — A group of creditors have come together to file an involuntary bankruptcy petition seeking to push Surrey Vacation Resorts, Inc. into Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
The bankruptcy petition was filed on August 31, 2015 in The United States Federal Court in Knoxville, TN.
The petitioning creditors in the filing are seeking relief for unpaid business debts; those creditors are Wahoo Ziplines ($42,000), Boyce Industries ($19,802.60) and Waitt Outdoor ($10,261.25). All are claiming unpaid debts that have been outstanding for months.
According to their websites, Surrey operates under the tradename Grand Crowne Resorts and has developed timeshare projects in Branson, MO, Pigeon Forge, TN, and Biloxi, MS.
