March 23, 2016 – Leading holiday ownership company Karma Group is pleased to announce they have signed an agreement with the owners committee of the Atlantic Beach Club, on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria.
Under this agreement Karma will be buying or renting all remaining inventory at the resort and taking over all on-site sales and marketing activities. The company plans to put this resort into its portfolio of resorts and allow existing Atlantic Beach Club members and clients to upgrade to Karma Club as well as allowing Karma Club members to exchange into the resort.
In order to run the Sales and Marketing Program the company has appointed John McDonald and Klaus Otten to use their marketing companies for both non-German and German speaking clients respectively.
In Dec. 2015 Karma Group formed a strategic alliance with McDonald’s Enduria Travel to acquire and operate resorts in the Canary Islands, which are experiencing a huge surge in popularity. Atlantic Beach Resort is the first of the resort to join Karma. Other properties in the group include Tisaya Golf, Club Primavera and Club Exselsior II.
Klaus Otten is the founder/owner of O.K. Marketing + Consultants, a service company for the development and implementation of marketing strategies and the marketing of timeshare holiday resorts in the Canary Islands and in several European countries.
Said John Spence, Chairman and CEO of Karma Group, “As you may know, I started my timeshare career in the Canary Islands in 1984, making it extremely satisfying to once again have a resort there. It is equally gratifying to once again be working with John and Klaus, whom I have also known for many years.”
Atlantic Beach Resort is located directly at the famed beach Playa del Inglés only a few steps away from the beach promenade, where guests can find a wide selection of bars, restaurants, shops and fantastic entertainment venues. All suites at the resort provide spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famous sand dunes of Maspalomas.
According to Spence the company will be looking at ways to improve the inventory at the resort and upgrade facilities and design.
Gran Canaria is the second most populous island in the Canary Islands archipelago. It is called a “Miniature Continent” due to the different climates and variety of landscapes found, with long beaches and dunes of white sand, contrasting with green ravines and picturesque villages.
