CARBONDALE, CO (September 29, 2016) — Timbers Resorts, one of the largest independent developers and operators of private boutique resorts and residence clubs, has appointed David Bland as the Director of Real Estate for The Residences at The Sebastian – Vail and Timbers Bachelor Gulch, overseeing all real estate sales and strategy within two of Timbers’ award-winning luxury boutique residences. An industry innovator and veteran with more than 30 years of professional experience in luxury real estate and hospitality, Bland will build on the success of Timbers’ residential sales teams.

Before joining Timbers Resorts, Bland founded and served as Principal of a consulting service focusing on new capital placements, business development and sales for luxury private residences, asset management, hospitality acquisitions and restructuring projects. Bland has also served as Senior Director of the Hospitality and Leisure REAS Group at Alvarez & Marsal where he led a $4 billion hospitality portfolio valuation and the successful execution of multiple mergers and acquisitions for major U.S. resorts and mixed-use developments; Managing Director of New Projects at Destination Hotel & Resorts, where he was responsible for value creation from development through stabilization of many high-profile projects including Terranea Resort, Suncadia Resort and Stowe Mountain Lodge; Director of Sales at Playground Destination Properties as well as Director of Hotel Investment for MONY Life Insurance Company.
