MIAMI, Fla. (September 1, 2016) — Palace Resorts – the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations – hosted the brand’s third annual Palace Experience Global Conference at signature property, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun, from August 21-24, 2016. Hundreds of travel agents, tour operators and industry insiders from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and Europe had the opportunity to travel to the AAA Four Diamond property and immerse themselves in Palace Resorts’ culture.
The four-day long conference took place in the sprawling property’s 140,000 square-foot convention center, Moon Palace Arena, and consisted of site inspections, exclusive events, meetings with the key Palace Resorts executives and educational seminars and workshops with an emphasis on utilizing social media strategies and effectively selling destination weddings among other relevant topics.
Kicking off Sunday evening with an Olympic-themed event presented by Exclusive Group Travel, guests enjoyed the resort’s top-shelf liquor and unmatched cuisine during the “Any Given Sunday” reception. In addition to welcoming more than 800 respected agents, Palace Resorts proudly hosted esteemed sponsors to the annual event including American Airlines Vacations, Delta Vacations, GOGO Vacations, Pleasant Holidays and platinum sponsor, Funjet Vacations, who presented The Palace Experience Global Conference’s general session featuring keynote speaker Mike Marchev. Monday’s schedule consisted of an opening session with opening remarks by key Palace Resorts executives, followed by multiple educational events including a PRO Wedding certification class, CEDIS experience tour, international network and trade showcase, remarks by motivational speakers and “The Marketing 2-step” seminar. Attendees ended the night with a lavish Rock the Casbah event sponsored by Travel Impressions in the Moon Palace Arena. The following day, attendees visited multiple Palace Resorts properties in Mexico including Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen as well as Sun Palace, Beach Palace and Le Blanc Spa Resort located on Cancun’s famed Hotel Zone. On the final night of the conference, Palace Resorts hosted the PRO Recognition Awards, with congratulatory remarks by Executive Vice President Gibran Chapur, and a farewell dinner in the Galactic Ballroom to recognize and honor the travel agents from a variety of markets who have been instrumental to the company’s success.
