FORT WORTH, TX (March 20, 2017) — America’s Trains Inc. (ATs) has announced that its Journey by Rail vacations on luxurious rebuilt train cars will begin on the 9th of December this year, filling a void that has grown since the 1970s when modern aircraft and improved highways began to replace deluxe train travel and Amtrak became responsible for nationwide intercity passenger train transportation.
Barry Jones, CEO of ATs said, “Within a couple of years, diverse seven-night Journeys by Rail on superior passenger train cars will expand throughout the USA and into Canada traveling as part of Amtrak trains and other railroads, with access to over 20,000 miles of track. Journeys include extended layovers at intriguing en-route destinations, where cars are dropped off by one and picked up by a subsequent Amtrak or other train, allowing passengers to live on board while enjoying an endless choice of unique off-car experiences. Journeys will be on ‘train sets’ that include a combination of up to five sleeper, dining and lounge cars, and on single self sufficient ‘private cars’.”
After trial runs in late summer, 2017, the first scheduled Journeys by Rail will be from Fort Worth, Texas, to Chicago, followed by six other consecutive ‘Circle America’ itineraries traveling to the four corners of the USA and Canada. Thereafter, as improvements to additional cars are completed, increasing numbers of scheduled and special Journeys will operate simultaneously from primary stations at Washington serving the East Coast from Florida to Montreal and Toronto, Chicago to and from the Pacific Coast, Los Angeles serving the West Coast from San Diego to Vancouver, and San Antonio to various mid America destinations.
In addition to individual Journey by Rail vacations, ATs offers Train’Shares (timeshares) on train sets, fractional interest ownership of elegant self sufficient private cars, activity cars that feature special entertainment while traveling with train sets, and display cars that provide traveling product presentation opportunities for various industries.
Jones said that, “Older, classic rail cars are rebuilt beyond Amtrak mechanical specifications with superior passenger amenities. Within five years about 60 cars with a total of 190 bedrooms will provide unsurpassed accommodations, dining, and lounge facilities, with superb and uniquely personalized passenger service.”
Typical Journey by Rail vacations provide all-inclusive services and accommodations for two or more passengers with fine dining, complimentary beverages of all kinds, 24 hour room service, gratifying on-board things to do, and an endless choice of optional activities at en-route destinations. Special theme Journeys will feature golf, skiing, other specific activities and attendance at special events.
In addition to an oversized queen bed, most bedrooms have a plush lounge chair that converts into a separate single bed allowing up to three passengers per room. Some cars have accommodations for single passengers. All bedrooms have private bathrooms with showers and many convert to private daytime sitting rooms, if desired.
Less than ten trains in other countries provide high quality travel vacation accommodations on exclusive private rail cars. Their typical average fare for all-inclusive seven night vacations is about $14,000 for two passengers, which fairly represents the vacation value. Although America’s Trains exclusively offers an equal or better and the USA’s only scheduled luxury rail vacation, with en-route stopovers, Journey by Rail fares are lower, about $12,000.
Train’Share owners have rights to reoccurring Journeys by Rail on different routes at a significantly reduced cost and can trade Journeys for a worldwide selection of luxury resort vacations through RCI, the largest timeshare exchange company.
In addition to depreciation, low cost and special use rights, fractional interest owners can select their own itineraries and exchange weekly private car Journeys for the worlds finest private vacations.
