REMEMBER: Many sales guests we meet every day are among the millions and millions of consumers who also buy Lottery tickets on a regular basis hoping for the big pay off!
After the full presentation (during the closing phase), a good way to determine if a prospect has truly been ‘sold’ (convinced) is to ask: ‘I was just curious, but if you folks had won the lottery today and your Grand Prize was a two or four-week timeshare to use anywhere in the world you like, whenever and however you like and at no cost to you whatsoever, would you tell the Lotto people you didn’t want your Grand Prize?’
Ask that sort of question (in your own words and at the right time) and then shut-up, look ’em straight in the eye, don’t flinch and watch them bury themselves (either way).
If the ‘deal’ was sold you’ll know by their enthusiastic response stating that they would gladly accept ‘it’, and when they tell you so then ask them if they had ‘won’ today how would they use their TS? As they tell you that, remain quite while they ‘sell themselves’ and you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank!
