That’s why in anticipation of the 2010/11 ski season, the majestic mountain escape has introduced a variety of enhancements–and compassionate endeavors–designed to benefit the local community and elevate the experiences of all of its guests, including ‘Fido.’
Even more, The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch has re-introduced its hugely popular ‘Peace of Mind’ package through 2011, so guests may ski easy–and sleep easy–on breathtaking Beaver Creek Mountain this winter with a host of perks and privileges and up to two complimentary nights.
‘7’ Deli Re-Design–The resort has partnered with Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Dean and Deluca to offer a wider variety of grab-and-go items this winter in the redesigned ‘7’ Deli. Convenient hot and cold items will include premium coffee and teas, sandwiches, soups, pastries, gourmet candy, beer, wine, cocktails and more.
In addition, the deli’s walls will exude a ‘gallery’ feel, adorned with photography available for purchase and provided by a rotating cast of esteemed Colorado-based artists. Through winter, photographs by Eagle, Colo.-based Mike Crabtree will be on display, and the artist will stop by the eatery for a weekly meet-and-greet with guests.
All-New ‘Après on Ice’ Offers–After a day carving turns on over 1,600 acres of world-class terrain on Beaver Creek Mountain, The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch invites locals and guests to sit back, relax and watch a local ice sculptor do the carving – while sipping on a specialty cordial or exquisite champagne.
Over select Fridays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. through March, local ice purveyor Paul Wertin will sculpt his glacial masterpieces on Mountainside Terrace, offering visitors the opportunity to observe his craft and technique as he creates icy, themed artwork to be displayed on the resort’s Front Drive. During the demos – Dec. 17; Dec. 31; Jan. 14; Feb. 4; and Mar. 4, respectively–Spago will offer its signature ‘Ritz 75’ specialty cocktail, a tasty concoction of Cap Rock gin, champagne, syrup and lemon juice, for $10.
In addition, after Wertin installs an impressive, 3,000-lb. ice bar on December 21, premium liquor distributors–including Absolut Vodka and Avion Tequila–will serve their exceptional victuals from the bar on Mountainside Terrace, as part of the resort’s new Premium Beverage Series. Ritz Kids is Back and Better than Ever–Ritz Kids at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is now a state-licensed childcare facility, even better equipped to offer unparalleled convenience and fun-filled childcare programs in a safe, structured environment. As part of its enhanced certification, Ritz Kids has employed additional specialized, staff members to offer each child in the program more personalized care and attention.
To ensure the program remains in compliance with its new licensing agreement, guests taking advantage of popular Ritz Kids services, such as Ski Nanny, will be asked to fill out standard enrollment paperwork, as well as review the new policies, procedures and pricing guidelines. Deck the Halls for First Descents – In the spirit of the holidays, The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is proud to offer guests an enriching visual experience and opportunity to contribute to a vitally important cause. Through January 18, 2011, a wide assortment of breathtaking artwork by nationally recognized photographers will ‘deck’ the resort’s lobby-level skier hallway.
The items will be available for auction, and all proceeds will benefit Vail-born organization First Descents, dedicated to providing young adults diagnosed with cancer with a healing week of outdoor adventure.
‘Pampered Paws for a Cause’–Our canine-compassionate initiative has been so well-received – and so beneficial – the resort has decided to extend the offer through ski season. Through April, The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch will donate $25 of the $125-per stay dog fee to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). In 2010, the resort collected over $3,500 for the worthy organization.
