REMEMBER: There is a long rich history in ‘the biz’ of known liars, cons, cheats and low-lifes who’ve bastardized the selling (and marketing) of what is otherwise a wonderful and exciting product. If their lives depended on it that den of thieves wouldn’t know how to give away a two week program absolutely free of charge without first tarring the timeshare ‘plan’ with multiple distortions.
Even worse, over the decades many of these bottom-feeders have moved into ‘Sales Management’ (and higher) positions and it is mostly from that group of knuckle dragging apes that bogus sales concepts are preached such as: ‘A sale is made every time.'; ‘You sell them or they sell you.'; ‘Pitch whatever it takes to get the deal and then clean it up on the back end.’
‘They’ do believe that if lying is not part of the presentation, a deal is otherwise impossible. Hence, the concept of ‘no heat, no eat’ survives to this day in sales centers around the world and continues to contaminate many otherwise good sales people.
The truth, however, is that a well trained and motivated sales professional who delivers an upscale informative presentation each and every time in an honest and forthright manner and adheres to proven selling and closing skills and techniques, etc. will out-sell any ‘heat merchant’ every day of the year.
At the end of the day, being such a timeshare sales rep is all that it takes to achieve a high YTD VPG as well as never worrying when the ‘owners’ return, etc. Dedicating the time and resources to being such a professional is a sure fire way to laugh all the way to the bank.
