REMEMBER: If you’ve been selling timeshare for any time at all one of the best things you can do to improve your sales skills and close more deals is to constantly reflect on the deals that you’ve made (and ‘why’) and the ones that you let slip by (and ‘why’)!
What you may discover on some of those that may have gotten away is that at times, perhaps because of the sales guest’s behavior, you allowed your ’emotions’ to override your sales moxi and decided that you’re done with ’em, to cut things short and sent them packing!
The problem with such an approach, and it is usually based on the unwritten timeshare creed of ‘Next’, is that over time letting ‘them’ slip away (one now, one tomorrow, next week…) starts adding up to a lot of potential commissions lost forever. Worse, the ‘Next’ mentality never provides a guarantee that ‘another’ tour is going to be any different than the ones allowed to ‘escape’!
When the savvy Timeshare Pro reflects on each presentation and analyzes the steps that led to the sale and what may have occurred during another presentation that (like, use and money aside) prevented the sale from happening and then makes the appropriate adjustments to their presentation/close, they will make more sales and laugh all the way to the bank.
