REMEMBER: Keep in mind at all times (24/7/365) that only a Ted Kaczynski (aka: the Unabomber) type person really doesn’t like to ‘vacation’ and yet I would argue that he, too, enjoyed getting away from it all. So the bottom line is that most people love vacationing!
That it is why it is never a bad idea to share with each sales guest, at the appropriate time during the presentation (and the sooner the better), that (e.g.) “We have 60,000 ‘owners’ who just like you folks love to vacation, enjoy and experience the travel and vacation lifestyle that we provide.”
Yes, most reps do so anyway and they share the ‘exchange’ story as well about the millions of others who are having the same fantastic vacations. But what is missing is to also inform the sales guest that the rep will not attempt to sell ’em anything and that if the sales guests don’t see themselves traveling in such a manner and vacationing in top-of-the-line accommodations (and resorts) then the rep will be the first to tell ’em to pass.
Every timeshare rep should believe, until proven otherwise, that every sales guest really likes getting away from the rat race, and by taking that position with each prospect the savvy Timeshare Pro will laugh all the way to the bank.
