Central Florida CPA firm AWDOH Partners Tom Durkee and Lena Combs will present findings resulting from study of comparative HOA financial performance.
Orlando, FL (October 11, 2012) — Averett Warmus Durkee Osburn Henning (AWDOH) principals Tom Durkee and Lena Combs, CPAs, will once again be presenting their company’s highly acclaimed comparative review of Florida timeshare homeowner associations (HOAs)’s financial performance, the “AWDOH Timeshare HOA Benchmark Study.” The presentation will be made before attendees at a meeting of the Timeshare Board Members Association (TBMA), being held October 28-30, 2012 in San Diego, California. AWDOH is a supporter and sponsor of TBMA.
AWDOH Partner Tom Durkee, CPA says, “Our firm performs this research project annually as a service to our timeshare/vacation ownership companies and homeowner association clients for whom we provide tax, accounting and assurance services. ARDA President Howard Nusbaum recently termed it ‘an important study,’ because Florida has an overwhelmingly large percentage of timeshare resorts.”
“The study can be viewed as a means to help gauge the overall health of timeshare in the United States,” says AWDOH Partner Lena Combs. “AWDOH’s review looks at financial performance of approximately 100 Florida timeshare resort HOAs and compares data accumulated over a nine-year period. We anticipate that the board members attending the San Diego meeting will find the information to be useful as it can indicate in which direction their own HOA delinquency rates and fiscal health are going.”
