GOLD COAST, QLD (February 19 2014) — Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Denarau Island was named Best Timeshare Resort at the global Perspective Magazine Awards in the USA on February 13.
The Perspective Magazine Awards annually recognises the top companies and individuals doing business in the timeshare and fractional sector of the hospitality industry, with this year’s Awards Gala dinner held at the luxurious Ritz Carlton Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida.
Located on the beachfront in Fiji, Wyndham Resort Denarau Island is one of the most popular resorts in the vacation ownership property portfolio of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific.
The resort recently underwent an AUD$30 million (FJD$50 million) development, resulting in the construction of 63 brand new, spacious apartments including one, two and three-bedroom deluxe apartments, three-bedroom Grand Suites and three and four-bedroom Presidential Suites with private plunge pools overlooking the ocean.
The development was a direct response to occupancy demand, with the resort running at 90% occupancy rates irrespective of season or climate.
Now offering a total of 201 apartments and suites, it is predicted that demand for the newly upgraded resort will continue to exceed expectations.
CEO and Managing Director of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, Barry Robinson said, “Our commitment to providing first-class accommodation and facilities to owners and guests is reflected in the significant development of this property. We are proud to welcome our owners and guests to the best address on the island, offering warm, friendly service and brilliant accommodation choices both befitting of the destination and true to the Wyndham legacy.”
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, one of the Gold Coast’s largest employers, demonstrated why they are the leaders in the vacation ownership industry, collecting five awards from a total of eight categories in which they were nominated.
