LAS VEGAS, NV (September 30, 2014) — Champions Tour professional John Cook, brand ambassador for Diamond Resorts International® (NYSE: DRII), a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industry, won Sunday’s Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach and earned his 10th Champions Tour title and 27th career victory, closing with a 3-under 69 for an 11 under total and a one-stroke victory. An enthusiastic endorser of Diamond Resorts, Cook prominently displayed the company’s brand throughout the win.
“Pebble Beach means a lot to the Cook family,” said Cook, who first came to Pebble Beach in 1972 with his father as a spectator of the U.S. Open, then went on to win the State Amateur Tournament on this course in 1975 and the State High School Tournament the following year. Cook’s first PGA Tour victory also came at Pebble Beach, when he won the 1981 Bing Crosby National Pro-Am. “I am thrilled to have won again at this very special place for me.
