The Inn at Aspen, with units professionally managed by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, began common area renovations in April 2014 to bring a fresh appearance and better guest experience to the ski-in/ski-out property at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. The renovation is slated to be completed in November for the 2014-2015 ski season.

The Inn undertook a grand renovation of the lobby and the adjacent bar and onsite restaurant to provide guests with a warm and welcoming gathering place. The enhancements include an expanded ceiling and new floor-to-ceiling windows that offer unobstructed mountain views. The lobby was also updated to include a four-sided fireplace, wood design elements, and leather seating for a comfortable après ski spot. In addition to housing the front desk, concierge and car rental counter, the renovated lobby also features a new business center and a grand entryway leading to a stone patio with a gas fire pit and an adjacent outdoor pavilion for dining and events.
These common area enhancements follow room renovations completed in 2013, which included brand new bathrooms, fresh décor, new carpeting and drapes, updated furnishings and select new appliances for most of the rooms.

The Inn at Aspen’s renovation comes alongside major improvements to Buttermilk Mountain, home of the famous ESPN Winter X Games. Aspen Skiing Company, the company that owns the mountain’s base, is redeveloping the area with improvements including a new kids’ center that will house a ski school and include play areas designed to feel like a kids’ hideout. There will also be a revamped parking lot, new bus and shuttle drop-off, and pedestrian plaza.
