(October 19, 2015) — Palace Resorts – the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations – celebrated the brand’s second annual Palace Experience Global Conference from September 27 – 30, 2015 at signature property, Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun. Industry insiders, members of the travel agent community and tour operators from international destinations such as South Korea and the United Kingdom, attended educational seminars and sales-driven workshops, experienced day trips to other Palace Resorts properties, networked and celebrated in style. Additionally, keynote speakers Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor for CBS News, and Mark Murphy, CEO of travAlliancemedia, presented relevant insights about the travel industry.

The conference commenced Sunday evening with a lavish welcome cocktail reception where guests enjoyed the resorts’ delectable libations and appetizing hors d’oeuvres. Monday’s events featured an opening general assembly from key Palace Resorts executives and speakers followed by an informational trade show event where agents had the opportunity to consult with a variety of Palace Resorts’ partners and observe a variety of wedding mockups with various color combinations and cultural-themed offerings while enjoying delectable cuisine from Mexican, Italian and Asian food stations. Understanding the importance of destination weddings, the brand gave agents the opportunity to meet with esteemed wedding vendors and consultants who provided guidance in order to ensure successful ceremonies. After the trade show, there were three educational sessions ranging from social media to travel business tips, and a Travel Agents’ Appreciation: Mexican Bash festivity to wrap up the day.
The conference continued with a variety of options for attendees including a tour of the Palace Resorts properties located in the Cancun Hotel Zone, a tour of Playacar Palace and the CEDIS (Central Distribution System) Experience Tour. The CEDIS tour gave attendees an in-depth look at how Palace Resorts produces high-quality gastronomic offerings such as tortillas, beef and homemade ice cream. Palace Resorts’ CEDIS facility, which is pivotal in ensuring the brands’ commitment of consistently providing quality offerings such as refreshing fruit juices and freshly baked bread, has the most advanced central distribution system within Mexico’s Southeastern area and is complete with state of the art equipment for all manufacturing standards. Additionally, the brand also hosted the PRO Recognition Awards, a black-tie gala ceremony created to honor the agents who have been invaluable to the success of Palace Resorts. Honorable mentions for the top producing travel agencies included Wright Travel, DestinationWeddings.com and Enchanted Honeymoons.

The conference enabled attendees to learn about the latest industry news, particularly news of current and future developments about the brand. Professional sales coach and Chief Motivation Speaker, Stuart Cohen, conducted a sales training and explored various topics including lead generation and loyalty to their customers. The Palace Experience Global Conference was hosted in the AAA Four Diamond property’s 140,000 square-foot convention center, Moon Palace Arena. The arena, one of the largest, most technologically-sophisticated conference facilities in Mexico, is fully equipped with the latest smart technology, audio visual equipment and versatile meeting rooms capable of bringing any event to life.
