Swiss Chocolate Cream
-from Simone Zanetti
Make this for any night during advent, it really
is perfect for sitting before the fireplace all cozy under blankets while the fire crackles and you see the snow
falling from the windows. Have some romantic moments...
Drink a little cherry liqueur with it - and you
fly in the 7th Swiss heaven!
- 2 big pieces of dark chocolate (about 500 gr)
- 3 dl (3/4 Cup) Cream
- Sliced pears
- Swiss cherry liqueur (called KIRSCH)
Put the chocolate in a pot (or in a double boiler)
and melt slowly by heating the pot on the fire. Slowly, don't burn it! Then add some milk to it by stirring, just
enough so that it gets a creamy consistence; take from fire, let it cool down a little bit.
Whip the cream and add it to the creamy chocolate,
stirring slowly (reserve enough whipped cream to decorate the bowls at the end).
Put in little bowls some slices of pears; pour
the chocolate cream over till the pears are all covered.Take the reserved whipped cream and decorate each bowl
with it - put some chocolate crisps over it.
